Get to Know
Judy Kiss-Benke, DMD

For over 35 years, Dr. Judy Kiss-Benke has enjoyed getting to know countless local individuals and families and helping them reach their dental goals. She loves it when her patients share what’s going on in their lives between dental visits. She has been with us for over 25 years, greatly contributing to Parma Family Dentistry’s reputation for caring about the whole person in addition to their teeth.

Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?

Dr. Judy literally can’t recall ever wanting to pursue another career. She began as a dental hygienist and loved it so much that she continued on to dental school. She has never looked back and couldn’t be happier where this path has taken her!

Where Did You Study Dentistry?

Dr. Judy attended Cuyahoga Community College to earn her Associate of Applied Science in Dental Hygiene, and she graduated from Case Western Reserve University with both her Bachelor of Science and DMD degree. She continues to expand and update her dental knowledge by reading research articles/journals, keeping up with new materials/procedures, and attending advanced education courses every year.

Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?

Born and raised right here in Parma, Dr. Judy and her husband, Charles, are the proud parents of two children, Trevor and Ella. Her favorite thing to do is spend time with her immediate and extended family. She is also a fan of “one tank trips,” game and puzzle nights, and she regularly volunteers at her church.

Fun fact: Dr. Judy’s last name, Kiss-Benke, is Hungarian. She was told that the “Benke” were royalty in Hungary and were expected to marry royalty, while “Kiss” translates to “little.” Apparently one of her ancestors married a peasant girl, and as a result was disinherited, becoming Kiss-Benke or “little” Benke.
