Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?

Dr. Tony remembers exactly when he decided to become a dentist-- summer 2009. That spring in college, he was trying to figure out what he wanted to do with his life, so he spoke to a mentor about dentistry. He hadn't really considered it as a career before, but after thinking about it, it sounded like a great idea: he would get to help people, the work is very hands-on, and it's a good profession for having a family. That summer, he spent six weeks at a dental school living and working as a dental student and absolutely loved it! After that, he came back to finish college and went to dental school right after.
Where Did You Study Dentistry?
Dr. Tony attended Case Western Reserve University, earning both his bachelor’s and DMD degrees there. This was immediately followed by a one-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency at the University of Connecticut. Today, he has been practicing for over a decade and completed hundreds of hours of continuing education covering most areas of dentistry. He is also a member of the American Dental Association, Ohio Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry.
Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?

Dr. Tony met his wife, Bronwen, in 2010 while in college, and they now have two wonderful sons, Martin and Elliot. The boys are full of energy and keep him very busy, but they always find time to explore local parks and play games together. When he isn’t at the office or spending quality time with loved ones, you’ll usually find Dr. Tony gardening, creating things with his 3D printer, or playing hockey.
